Daddy Harold, 45, a Harley stained maroon crosses the four-way light.A son, on a smaller bike, too trusting in his father to look both ways.
The shed, where crumpled metal sits in silence and in prayer.The unmistakable brown of the Mississippi, where I sit on the back with a helmet a half-size too big.
The road home, as it were, to a  screen door that never locks.
